How many sessions will I need?
This depends entirely on you and what we are treating you for. We may recommend a single session or a number of separate
appointments, depending upon your needs. It is widely accepted, for example, that smoking cessation is far less effective when only a single session is used. Most routine treatment will require between one and four
sessions. For things such as severe anxiety or depression, it may take considerably more. In any event, we will monitor your progress and will stop treatment (a) when you no longer need it, or (b) if treatment is
having no beneficial effect, or (c) after 12 sessions (except in extraordinary circumstances).
