The journey through life is seldom a straightforward process. We each have dreams, desires, ambitions and goals, but the route to achieving
what we want is usually done in a roundabout, haphazard way. And despite the popular saying, all roads do not always lead to Rome. In fact, the paths that we choose to take in life will often lead us
completely away from the main road, and potentially into a series of blind alleys, dead ends and one-way streets. We'll come across roadblocks and traffic jams, and find ourselves doing numerous u-turns.
At best, we'll eventually get to where we want to be. At worst, we can become completely and hopelessly lost; out of fuel, tyres flat, and the car pointing in entirely the wrong direction.
The life coaching process is our route-finder through life. It requires us to stop, take stock of our position fully and
completely, and then re-orient ourselves towards our ultimate destination. The first step, of course, is finding out where we actually are at this point in time. The life coach will help in this respect.
Thereafter we need to explore and decide where we want to be. Is it 'Rome' that we are truly looking for, or is it somewhere else? Which direction is it in? How many different ways can we go? Is the
motorway the best option, or do we need to stop along the way? Are we taking passengers, or is it a solo trip? What resources do we need to gather for the journey?
Essentially, life coaching is the personal travel guide, helping people to locate themselves in the here and now, identify
their ideal ultimate destination, and map out the most appropriate, effective and efficient way of getting there. Furthermore, the coach will assist in the identification of the provisions that are
needed to complete the journey successfully. If you have a trip to take, we can help you along the road.
